Roberts shared a heartfelt post, talking about Scott Snyder who despite all the odds had stayed at one job for an entire professional lifetime.

Who is Scott Snyder?

Scott Snyder is a camera operator at ABC Television network, having also worked at Disney during his professional career. Snyder is an alumnus of Rutgers University and graduated in 1977. Right after graduation, Snyder landed a job at ABC News in 1978 and for the next 45 years dedicated his entire lifetime as a professional to the network. In a time when people quickly switched jobs to climb up the ladder, Snyder managed to stay put and serve ABC News to the best of his abilities as a camera operator. Hosts like Roberts and George Stephanopoulos who have long been working in the field of journalism have known Synder for years and admire his diligence.

Now when Synder stands at the cusp of retirement, Roberts took some time out to honor the man for his long-standing dedication and loyalty to the network. She posted a snap of her and Synder with co-host Stephanopoulos photobombing from behind. In a heartwarming post, Roberts wrote, “Scott Snyder has been a remarkable camera operator with ABC for 44 years. Tomorrow he is retiring. We’ve been blessed that most of his time has been with GMA. Scott’s professionalism, warm smile, and engaging personality have certainly added to the GMA family. We’re going to miss Scott and know he’s looking forward to spending more time now with his beautiful wife & 6 grandchildren! You know he’s special because who else could get George to photobomb you! Love you, Scott.”

‘How could he have worked 44 years? He looks about 44’

Fans were quick to jump on the wagon and praise Roberts' admiration for Snyder. Although a few were surprised to see how nicely Synder has aged. One user wrote, “How could he have worked 44 years?!! He looks about 44.” A second said, “Scott’s so pretty he should be on the other side of the camera!” while a third mentioned, “Wow. He must have started when he was 15. He don’t look old enough to have been there 44 years.”

It seems that Scott’s popularity is way over the moon as actress Jennifer Garner leaned in to comment, “Congratulations, Scott! Have a happy and healthy retirement.” Co-host Lara Spencer also chimed in, "Scott we will miss you so much. Thank you for so many smiles and good times. We will miss you very very much.” However, the notion that echoed across the post was captured by one fan as he wrote, “Congrats Scott! Enjoy your retirement! Enjoyed working with you back at GMA!”
