AUSTIN, TEXAS: Joe Rogan seems to be on a roll. He has flourished over time and garnered an astronomical number of followers on social media thanks to his podcast, 'The Joe Rogan Experience'. However, Rogan’s podcast may reportedly find a new place on Rumble once his Spotify contract ends.
It should be called that Spotify got Rogan onboard with an exclusive contract reportedly worth at least $200M. While speculation is rife that he will be a free agent in 2024 once the contract ends, it might not take him long to find a new platform as Rumble is gunning for a deal for him.
Will Joe Rogan join Rumble?
The final decision rests with Rogan. In 2022, Rogan faced backlash on Spotify as some of his guests allegedly spread "misinformation" and made racist remarks. Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski put forth his offer after more than 70 of Rogan's podcast's episodes were taken off Spotify amid mounting demands for his removal.
Rumble is reportedly extremely keen on signing Rogan even though the host rejected the offer and applauded Spotify CEO Daniel Ek for standing by him during the controversy, which has died down since. His Spotify contract's specifics are currently a little unclear. His contract was reportedly set to end in 2023, but Spotify said otherwise. The agreement, which included the "possibility of more," was supposed to be for three-and-a-half years.
'I’m a big fan of Joe Rogan'
Speaking to Dexerto, Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski said, "That $100M offer is still on the table. He’s with Spotify exclusively, but we very much look forward to working with Joe Rogan in the future if he wishes. We would be interested in putting forth an offer when that time comes.”
Pavlovski continued, ''If he ever wants to come to Rumble, we’re open to negotiating with him and putting forth an offer. I’m a big fan of Joe Rogan and I would love to have him on Rumble.”
