BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate, aka The Tate Brothers, are the two most contentious people on the Internet right now. The duo was denied permission to create a Swiss bank account, all thanks to their controversies and misogynist remarks. The former kickboxer and self-proclaimed misogynists pose with fast cars, and guns and portray themselves as cigar-smoking playboys.
The Tates, who mainly preach to men, have achieved fame, amassed a sizable, devoted following of young men, and made millions of dollars as a result. But due to the businesses the Tates were involved in, one of Switzerland's largest banking institutions denied to service them.
Swiss bank bans Tate brothers
Tristan and Andrew Tate made the controversial assertion that the webcam sector was where they made their initial millions. This was heavily criticized and met with opposition. Some claim that the Tates took advantage of women by using them as webcam models to make millions of dollars for themselves. They have also been charged with trafficking women into the sex industry by manipulating their emotions. The Tates have consistently defended themselves and denied any such behavior. However, the Swiss banks were not persuaded by this in the least. Swiss bank accounts are renowned for their high levels of privacy and little financial risk.
However, Tristan Tate explains why they are not permitted to open Swiss bank accounts in one of the movies that are currently making the rounds on the internet. The footage depicts Tristan leaving the Swiss-based international financial bank Credit Suisse. Tate said, ” I will never have a Swiss Bank account.” He said that all of the things he is involved in such as gambling, pornography, webcam girls, strip clubs, etc are all high-risk industries. They said, "Even if you gave away your American passport and cleaned up your business affairs, I highly doubt any bank in Switzerland will entertain giving you an account.” Tate wrote on Twitter, "30 More days of house arrest. I have not been free for a single day this year. Sometimes in life... you just have to bite the bullet. 50k retweets and we will take the legal risk of broadcasting."
Why are Tate Brothers under house arrest?
In a recent development, the Romanian court dealt the troubled social media personalities Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan even another blow by extending their house detention for an extra 30 days. This latest extension signifies that they will remain confined to their residences till June 30, 2023.
In December 2022, he and his brother Tristan were first taken into custody at their house in Bucharest. He was placed under house arrest on March 31 as a result of a Romanian judge's decision. The brothers and the two Romanian associates who were also taken into custody have not yet been charged. However, prosecutors are looking into the brothers for possible rape, and human trafficking, and organizing a group to molest women.
