NORTHFIELD, NEW HAMPSHIRE: Kassandra Sweeney, a New Hampshire mother who was allegedly killed alongside her children by her teen brother-in-law sent her husband a message before the tragic murder.

The final words of the 25-year-old woman to her husband Sean Sweeney before she was shot were revealed by prosecutors in court documents filed last week in the triple murder that took place on August 3, 2022, in Northfield, reports Fox News.

Kassandra Sweeney's heartbreaking final message

Minutes before the fatal shooting, the couple exchanged Snapchat messages and videos.

The couple exchanged Snapchat videos and messages, including of their young sons, Benjamin, four, and 23-month-old Mason.

"I hope they make you laugh," Kassandra wrote of her young sons Benjamin, four, and 24-month-old Mason at 10.49 am which authorities believe was her final message to her husband.

She and her young sons were killed by a single gunshot injury to their head in less than ten minutes of the final message.

The 10-page court document that contained the details was filed by the New Hampshire State requesting that Eric Sweeney, the accused teen killer continue to be held without bail.

The New Hampshire judge then granted the request. The filings revealed further details about the brutal killings by the 17-year-old who was taken into custody on the day of the crime.

Eric Sweeney lived with his older brother and his family

The teen killer had been living with his 26-year-old brother Sean and his family in Merrimack County.

However, tensions had been escalating in their household in the months leading up to the tragedy. In June, Sean called police and reported Eric had stolen his Honda Civic.

On July 22, he again contacted police to report that Eric was "making strange comments and had hidden multiple weapons around the home."

According to the document, Sean told authorities he was "concerned for the safety of his small children."

The relationship between the siblings had deteriorated to the point that Sean installed a door lock in his master bedroom.

Sean and Kassandra wanted to have the teenager removed from their home and had initiated steps to get him out of their residence.

Eric reportedly snapped on August 3 and he removed one of his older brother's two guns and allegedly shot down his sister-in-law and his nephews in the kitchen of their three-bedroom home.

Prosecutors have not revealed in what order they were shot. However, a witness heard the children screaming shortly before the killer fled the scene, indicating that Kassandra was gunned down first.
