NETANYA, ISRAEL: Danielle Waldman, a native of Palo Alto, California, was murdered alongside her boyfriend Noam Shai by Palestine militant group at a musical festival in Israel.
The Israeli-American woman's businessman father Eyal Waldman tracked her phone and Apple Watch to locate the bullet-riddled vehicle where his daughter was murdered, according to CNN.
Who is Eyal Waldman?
Speaking to CNN, Eyal, the founder of a multinational supplier of computer network products Mellanox, said he initially believed that his youngest daughter had been held captive by the Palestine militant group during the attack in Southern Israel at the Nova Festival on Saturday, October 7.
However, just hours before his interview with CNN on Wednesday, October 11, Eyal learned that his 24-year-old daughter and Naomi Shai, her boyfriend of six years, were among the hundreds of people murdered by the Hamas.
Eyal witnessed Danielle Waldman's car being shot by multiple attackers
Eyal tracked Danielle's location using the features on her phone and Apple Watch which led Eyal and a friend to the car where she was murdered by several attackers.
"I have seen exactly how she was murdered from two directions by at least three to five people that had attacked it," Eyal said.
"From the shells that we have found, there were at least three guns that were shooting at the car," he added.
In an interview with Israeli news station i24News, Eyal said Danielle, Naom, and a few other young festival attendees tried fleeing to safety in a white Toyota hatchback.
However, they were cornered by the attackers who used AK assault rifles to fatally shoot them.
"They have done nothing to hurt anyone," the devastated father said of the innocent victims killed in the attack.
Danielle Waldman confided in her father her plan to marry Noam in her last call
Danielle and her boyfriend had just moved into a new apartment with their dog in September.
"They had only been there for a few weeks, now we will need to see what to do with all their belongings," Eyal told CNN.
Eyal recalled his last conversation with Danielle in which she confided in him she had planned to marry her boyfriend.
Naom and Danielle met while serving in the Israeli military. "Each and everyone that met her has loved her," Eyal said.
"She’s done nothing wrong and nothing bad to anyone," he added. The couple was laid to rest side by side on Thursday, October 12.
