HAMILTON, ONTARIO: Kayla Lemieux, a transgender teacher who was placed on unpaid leave due to the attention her Z-cup breasts received, has found a new job at Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School in Ontario. The school's principal Tom Fisher has warned parents there could be 'protests' and 'disruptions' over her hiring.
Lemieux, who claims her breasts are natural despite being photographed without them, previously worked at Oakville Trafalgar High, but her employment was terminated after images of her prosthetics garnered outrage.
Now, nearly four months later, the teacher has landed a new job. Principal Fisher also revealed that the school is planning to boost security as a result of Lemieux’s hiring, according to Daily Mail.
What did Tom Fisher say about Kayla Lemieux’s hiring?
The news of Lemieux’s hiring was first disclosed by the Toronto Sun, which received a memo from Fisher stating that his high school now has a responsibility to "uphold individual rights and treat everyone with dignity and respect."
The principal continued by stressing the substantial amount of media attention that officials are anticipated to receive and declared that the school is committed to communicating with parents should there be any "disruptions or protests" this time around.
"Should the school be subject to any disruptions or protests? We are committed to communicating with you as openly and as frequently as possible to ensure student safety – and to share any operational plans," the memo stated.
Fisher also outlined a tentative plan for how pupils would act after Lemieux's arrival, including having them "enter and exit the building using assigned doors at entry and dismissal."
Another necessity mentioned in the unsubstantiated exchange is that all children "use an intercom system to enter and exit the building.” The memo stated that this rule would also apply to visitors.
Other stipulations mentioned in the memo included that parents "email or call before coming to the school if they wish to visit to speak to an employee", "locking exterior doors during school hours,' and "only using the front main doors" when school is in session.
Why was Kayla Lemieux fired from her previous job?
Lemieux made headlines earlier this year after images of her Z-cup breasts garnered immense public attention. At that time, she insisted that her breasts were natural, a result of a condition called 'gigantomastia'.
However, after immense media scrutiny, the teacher eventually acknowledged that she never received a formal medical diagnosis for the rare condition.
Lemieux further claimed to be intersex, implying she was born with both male and female sex organs.
However, her account came under suspicion after viral images showed her dressed as a man - without the large prosthetics and blonde wig. The images were the reason for the eventual suspension, the Toronto Sun reported at the time.
