SUMMERVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA: NFL star Robert Quinn has been slapped with several charges following a string of alleged hit-and-run incidents in South Carolina on Friday, August 18, that caused property damage.
Summerville Police authorities responded to a subdivision and discovered four unoccupied vehicles that had been struck.
According to South Carolina news station WCSC, a gate and a light post were also damaged.
The American football defensive end, who is a free agent, allegedly exited his vehicle at some point and got into a physical altercation with a woman before leaving the scene.
Who is Robert Quinn?
Robert Quinn is an American football defensive end who is a free agent. The 33-year-old played college football at North Carolina and was drafted by the St Louis Rams with the 14th pick in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
Quinn played for the Chicago Bears and the Philadelphia Eagles last season. He is currently a free agent.
He has played 12 seasons for five different teams so far in his career. He began his career with the Rams and since then has had stints with the Miami Dolphins, the Dallas Cowboys, the Bears, and the Eagles.
He has made the Pro Bowl thrice and has recorded 285 solo tackles, 83 assisted tackles, 102.0 sacks, and three fumble recoveries in his career.
He had eight solo tackles, two assisted tackles, and one sack in 13 games last season. Quinn signed a five-year year $70 million contract with the Chicago Bears back in 2020.
He agreed to void the last two years of his contract after getting traded by the Bears to the Philadelphia Eagles last season.
The free agent is presently looking for a new team due to it but only time will tell if any team will hire him following this incident.
What charges does Robert Quinn face?
Quinn faces charges of third-degree assault and battery, hit-and-run of an attended vehicle, four counts of hit-and-run property damage and striking fixtures on or adjacent to the highway.
He surrendered to the Summerville Police Department Friday and was booked on the same day later and attended a bond hearing where a judge granted bond.

As per an accident report, a Ford F-150 truck crashed into multiple vehicles. Responding officers proceeded to search the vehicle and found an empty whiskey bottle on the passenger side floorboard.
The authorities said that the truck appeared to have some front-end damage. A victim who reported the damage told officers she was also assaulted by the suspect.
The unnamed woman was reportedly sitting in her driveway when the suspect hit two parked vehicles. The woman noted that he then exited the truck and offered to buy her beer.
The suspect "grabbed her by the shoulders" at some point and said "listen to me" and "struck her across the face with an open hand."
