DEKALB COUNTY, GEORGIA: Georgia police are frantically looking for a two-year-old child whose father alleges he was kidnapped at gunpoint.

J'Asiah Deon Mitchell, two, was abducted near Panthersville early Thursday, according to the DeKalb Police Department, New York Post reported.

Who is J'Asiah Deon Mitchell?

J'Asiah's mother, Asia Mitchell, told WSBTV that her son was with his father on Wednesday night when he alleges that armed thieves kidnapped the boy at gunpoint.

However, police have not confirmed this information as of now.

A car pulled out in front of him and had him at gunpoint, and took my baby because they couldn’t take anything from him … that’s the story that him and his mom were telling me,” distraught mother Asia Mitchell said.

According to her, authorities are interviewing J'Asiah's father to better comprehend the circumstances. The boy was kidnapped at around 11:23 pm in the 3300 block of Flat Shoals Road.

Mitchell was last seen wearing Buzz Lightyear pyjamas

However, police have not released a name or description of the possible abductor by Tuesday afternoon.

Police said Mitchell’s alleged kidnapper was driving a black sedan.

The make, model and tag of the car are unknown. Mitchell was last seen wearing Buzz Lightyear pyjamas.

Mitchell also pleaded with the kidnappers to return her baby without harming him. “I’ve been up crying, worrying. I’ve been praying,” she said, adding "please just bring my baby back home to me.”

“We are still actively working through the circumstances surrounding the kidnapping,” DeKalb police told New York Post, noting the Homicide Assault Unit is identifying possible witnesses.

The case did not meet the criteria of Amber Alert

“Our priority is locating J’Asiah safely while we continue to investigate the matter.” The department was advised by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation that the case did not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert.

"You never ask for prayers but y’all please pray for me, pray for my baby's safety," Asia Mitchell wrote appealing for his boy's return.

There are several friends and family of Asia helping her in his campaign posting updates and sharing pictures of J'Asiah Deon Mitchell. "Heart and feelings remain in disbelief. We need you home buddy. As a parent, this is something that is hard to process and be patient with. Praying for you and your family!!" wrote one. "I'm praying so hard for him you know I love my nephew," one of Asia's posts received a comment.
