MUMBAI, INDIA: 'Indian Matchmaking' fame Pradhyuman Maloo has been accused of domestic violence by his wife Ashima Chauhaan.
In 2020, he found his partner in Ashima Chauhaan after an off-screen romance that developed into a relationship.
However, beyond reality television, Pradhyuman's romantic journey took an unexpected turn.
Recent developments have shown that Ashima, who decided to build a life off-camera with Pradhyuman and married him, has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against him.
Mumbai police have filed a complaint against Pradhyuman Maloo and his family on suspicion of domestic violence, including physical and emotional abuse.
Pradhyuman Maloo's wife Ashima Chauhaan files domestic violence complaint
It was shown in Season 3 that the couple Pradhyuman Maloo and wife Ashima Chauhaan were together for two years and had a grand wedding in Udaipur, Rajasthan in February 2022.
However, Chauhaan left home in September 2022, and according to the complaint she filed, she was allegedly physically and mentally abused by her husband and his family, and her family was also allegedly blackmailed and harassed.
Ashima Chauhaan lawyer Anmol Bartaria told Hindustan Times, “The allegations with FIR lodged are grave and concerning with domestic violence and constant mental, physical abuse at its core."
"The matter is in the investigative stage and should be carried in full swing. Ashima is in the process of taking appropriate legal proceedings against the accused in accordance with the law," he added.
He also shares that Ashima is unable to comment as she has suffered severe trauma and is currently with her family in Bengaluru.
However, Pradhyuman said that he was not aware of this development. He said, “I don’t know about it. To the best of my knowledge, we are in settlement talks with lawyers to resolve our marital issues amicably.”
