TikTok mouse hack
Allison, a TikTok user, shared a video on the platform in which she reveals a contraption that allows one to keep a computer mouse running nonstop throughout the day. "Sometimes you might not want people to know that you're away from your computer. For whatever reason, personal, work, whatever. For this hypothetical situation, I have found a resolution," she said. She then revealed the device, which she refers to as a "mouse mover" that helps fake your mouse movement at work.

The device, which is available on Amazon, features a revolving plate that makes contact with the bottom of any regular computer mouse and keeps the cursor moving across the screen. This supposedly fools any software used by a remote company to ensure that an employee is at their desk working at all times during office hours.
Allison made it a point to mention that the gadget must be plugged into its own power socket rather than the computer's in order for an employer to be unaware that they are being tricked by an outside device. It moves the computer pointer on a regular basis, as Allison puts it, "long enough so that you don't go idle on your computer."

Many people questioned how someone working a full-time job would have enough time between tasks to fake work. "I’m a hard working teacher, and I’m just in disbelief with some of these people who work from home & have to pretend they’re busy," wrote one user.
