SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA: California equestrian, Tatyana Remley, gained notoriety for hiring a hitman to kill her estranged husband. Now, she is claiming that she was chased by him around their home while he held a knife.
According to the divorce filings dating back to July, Tatyana Remley, 42, also alleged that her millionaire husband, Mark Remley, held her at gunpoint at their Del Mar, San Diego residence.
She also claimed that she was raped at gunpoint by one of his friends on another occasion in her husband's presence.
As per a previous incomplete divorce petition from 2015, Tatyana said that Mark "had a meltdown that led him to discharge his firearms inside our Rancho Santa Fe home" following the failure of his business venture.
What are the allegations against Tatyana Remley?
The Coast News reported that Tatyana's estranged husband Mark has debunked all of Tatyana's avowals. He said his wife of 12 years burned their $5 million Rancho Reposo home to the ground before trying to arrange the hit.
Fire officials also confirmed to the outlet that the home's interior was reduced to ashes from the blaze and that the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Tatyana, known for her involvement in a failed multi-million dollar horse show, Valitar, has a different version of events. She alleged in one divorce document that she was present when the fire broke out but she was not aware how the blaze started.
Local reports indicate the pair had a volatile past of arguments and divorce filings.
What did Tatyana Remley's attorney say?
During the latest divorce proceedings Tatyana's attorney Tiffany Brown said the equestrian was struggling financially after a judge asked to bring down her spending.
"Wife is experiencing extreme financial strain. She is unable to maintain her realistic monthly expenses of just $12,000, much less [than] what she was accustomed to at $50,000," the filing states.
"She has no income and does not have the same access to funds and assets that Respondent does."
Tatyana apparently became desperate to seek help from a mutual friend to help remedy her situation.
What charges does Tatyana Remley face?
Mark reported about the harrowing incident when he came to know about the alleged hit.
Tatyana was eventually arrested after a sting operation. The exact details of the accused, who ironically has Mark's name tattooed on her stomach, have not been shared by police at this time.
Besides facing charges related to solicitation of murder, Tatyana faces two weapons charges, carrying and concealing firearms not registered in her name in a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm in a public place not registered in her name.
The first is a felony and the second is a misdemeanor charge. She pleaded not guilty to all charges on August 4.
Her bail was denied by a judge. The woman could face up to none years in prison if found guilty of the solicitation charge.
The firearms felony charge could add an additional year to that sentence. Her next court hearing is scheduled for October 16.
