NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America' star Deborah Roberts shared a massive health update with her fans, revealing that she finally got contact lenses to correct her impaired vision.
The 63-year-old ABC News journalist’s vision had been hindered for a long which forced her to don the big glasses but after getting the contact lenses, Roberts disclosed that she felt “powerful” while hosting the show.
The ABC News 20/20 anchor took to Instagram to share the news with her followers before taking her place behind the studio desk to host.

Roberts shared a brief clip on her Instagram before hosting the morning show and ditched the black glasses that she usually dons.
Instead of donning glasses or going contact-free, she tried contacts for the first time. This slight change of approach helped her vision and her mindset.
Roberts said in the clip, “Wow, I can actually see things.” The ‘GMA’ star looked delighted and relieved to wear contacts as she held a script in her hand.
"I can see the type!" she added, appearing more confident and empowered than ever before.
She added as she was filmed walking onto the set, “Getting mic'd up going onto the studio two fists of coffee. But I'm feeling more confident today because I've been having trouble seeing my copy. And seeing the teleprompter.”
Roberts excitedly concluded, “But I got contacts. I've got contacts!” as she blinked her eyes in quick succession.

The 20/20 anchor also shared a few glimpses of her weekend adventure with her fans and followers while imparting a crucial message about life.
In the carousel post shared by Roberts, she can be seen donning a hat as she smiled for the camera. She shared a picture of a dessert that she enjoyed and also captured a soulful street performance from some musicians.
