BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Tristan Tate has refuted the allegations made against him and his brother Andrew, challenging what he refers to as the "official story." According to Tristan, the charges they face supposedly involve taking money from girls on TikTok, contrary to what has been stated.
Romanian authorities arrested the Tate brothers, Andrew and Tristan, as part of an extensive investigation into grave offenses including human trafficking, rape, and the formation of an organized crime group. During the arrest, their residence in Romania was searched, resulting in the confiscation of vehicles and other belongings. The brothers, accompanied by two women, were detained for an extended period until their eventual release in May, albeit with the imposition of 30 days of house arrest.
'That is what I have been arrested for'
During their livestream, Tristan stated that in 2021, approximately two years prior, he and his brother had allegedly established an organized criminal group to transport women to Romania. The supposed objective of this operation was to pilfer funds from their TikTok accounts, ultimately enriching themselves.
Tristan said, "Here is the official story. In 2021, two years ago, my brother and I formed an organized criminal gang with the intent of moving women to Romania so we could steal money from their TikTok accounts to enrich ourselves."
He admitted that he had previously operated a webcam studio, where women were employed, but he emphasized that the studio is now closed. According to him, there is "no link" between his past involvement in the webcam industry and the allegations currently leveled against him and his brother.
Referring to being accused of stealing money from TikTok, Tristan said, "That is the narrative, that is what I have been arrested for. This is the first time publicly I can finally clear that up.”
'I mean the rich always steal from the poor'

Another user wrote, "They're accusing Andrew & Tristan Tate of stealing money from TikTok accounts? That was it? 😂😂" One user stated, "I mean the rich always steal from the poor 🤷♂️"
