NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Wednesday, ‘The View’ panel discussed Kim Kardashian’s latest advert about a "nipple bra," and Whoopi Goldberg had nothing but praise for Kim and her latest product.
While most of the segment focussed on Kim and the empire she has created, Joy Behar decided to share her own "business" idea, that involved merkins. Behar stunned her co-hosts before the executive producer Brian Teta intervened, and the segment came to an end.
Whoopi Goldberg applauds Kim Kardashian
‘The View’ host Whoopi Goldberg talked about Kim Kardashian’s latest product, “So, Kim Kardashian has just released a new line of bras with a special feature that's getting a lot of attention. Take a look.”
‘The View’ then played Kim’s SKIMS advert, after which Goldberg continued, “Now, I have to tell you, it's great for women who have had mastectomies. It's great if you have nipples that are not functioning the way or looking the way you're comfortable.”
“This girl, I have to say, I take my dreads off to her. I do because she's created Skims, all the stuff she's put out there, and now doing Skims for men. It's extraordinary, and this idea has never been done by anyone before,” added Goldberg.
Goldberg also mentioned Victoria's Secret, despite having a tough time recollecting their name, “Victoria's Secret company tried it because it was not successful, in a way it wasn't serious. This is serious, and I'm just so proud of this girl because, you know, 10% of the benefits are going to climate change because she's talking about making nipples erect so you want to be chillier, so she's giving - she's got a sense of humor with it.”
Joy Behar shares her business idea
The co-hosts then weighed in on Kim’s “nipple bra,” as the advert made rounds on social media, and Joy Behar decided to come up with an idea of her own.
“Starting my own merkin business,” said Behar, before Alyssa Farah Griffin let out a shocked laugh and said, “What?”
Sunny Hostin, who sat next to Behar asked, “What would that do?” to which, Behar promptly responded, “Look it up.”
Goldberg added on to Behar’s business idea, “Here's the thing…only you would know you have it on.”
Once again, Behar had a quick response for her co-host, “That’s true…and my husband.”
“If he gets in there…you know,” said Goldberg before she added, “I don’t know why we are having this conservation…”
The camera then panned to the executive producer Brian Teta, who signaled the end of the segment with his finger, seconds after which the segment came to an end.
