MIAMI, FLORIDA: The state of Florida is suffering from a home insurance crisis that has made homeownership unaffordable for many, according to The Guardian. Ana Navarro has often shared her thoughts about this.
‘The View’ co-host’s Twitter account has repeatedly mentioned the home insurance crisis, along with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' inability to do anything about it.
In recent events, Navarro received her home insurance renewal notice and has taken to Twitter to talk about how it has gone up 100 per cent, while also taking a dig at DeSantis, claiming he was too busy "battling history" to address this crisis.
Navarro has received backlash from the internet, as users attacked her for "whining" about the home insurance crisis.
‘Ron DiSaster & FL legislature did nothing’
In her tweet, ‘The View’ co-host addresses the governor of Florida as "Ron DiSaster" as she blames him and the Florida legislature for her "more than doubled" numbers in her home insurance renewal notice.
Navarro wrote, “Just got my home insurance renewal notice. It’s gone up over 100%. More than doubled. And I’m one of the lucky ones. My insurance co didn’t flee FL. Ron DiSaster & FL legislature did nothing to address this crisis. They were too busy battling history, drag-queens and Mickey.”
‘Please leave Florida’
In response to Navarro’s tweet, some have said Navarro is "whining" as they wrote, "A privileged leftist millionaire whining about her insurance premium. The oppression is real. Tan grande y tan come mierda (Translation: So big and so eat shit)."
Some have even asked and wondered if Navarro will leave Florida as one person tweeted, “Does this mean you are moving out of our beautiful state?” and another wrote, “Please leave Florida."
The internet has also come to defend DeSantis and the government, “In case you missed it, government doesn't control everything,” and another said, in relation to DeSantis, “He did a pretty good job with the pandemic and the hurricanes. Hey, maybe you would be happier if you moved to a different state. Just a thought.”
After Navarro’s tweet, people have also claimed that she was lying as they wrote, “So tell me why in many places in California you can only get cal fair plan? It’s worse here than in Florida! As always, you lie.”
