LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Matthew Perry was last seen in public exactly one week before he died on October 28. The 'Friends' actor was spotted leaving a West LA eatery, enjoying a day in the company of a friend, reported TMZ.
The eatery, called Apple Pan, is a popular spot for burgers, sandwiches, and pies. Perry was seen walking out of the establishment on October 21 with a male friend who was carrying a takeout bag.
Perry was observed sporting a goatee that day, giving him a very different look than the one fans were used to and loved. However, he seemed to be doing well overall.
Matthew Perry's final Instagram post was from his hot tub
Perry posted for the last time on Instagram 6 days prior to his death. It was a photograph of him sitting in a hot tub with his headphones on, along with the caption, "Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I'm Mattman."
In an eerie happenstance, the 54-year-old actor was found dead in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home on October 28. Authorities, who discovered his unresponsive body in the evening, have not yet officially stated the cause of death.
No drugs were found at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Times. Matthew had once struggled with drug addiction and alcoholism, about which he opened up in his 2022 memoir, 'Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing'.
Officials do not suspect any foul play, but the investigation into the death is undertaken by the Los Angeles Police Department’s robbery-homicide detectives.
