Due to work commitments, Hill was initially unable to be with Tate during this challenging time. However, the model made it a priority to fly back as soon as possible to be by his side. She described the heart-wrenching moment she finally reunited with Tate, saying, "I could tell he was very weak."
The emotional rollercoaster of Tate's condition deeply affected Hill. She shared the drastic change she witnessed in her beloved pet, going from "fine one day" to "the sickest I've ever seen him" within a mere 24 hours. The uncertainty surrounding Tate's prognosis weighed heavily on Hill's mind, and she acknowledged the painful reality that she might not have much time left with him. "I’m not sure how much time I have left with him at this moment. It all happened so fast," she wrote in a detailed post.

In a subsequent Instagram post, Hill posted a heartwarming video of Tate wagging his tail in excitement upon seeing her.
'It’s so hard seeing him this sick'
She recognized the difficulty of witnessing Tate in such a weakened state, emphasizing the remarkable bond between humans and dogs and the immeasurable impact they have on our lives. To anyone who has gone through this before, I see you and you’re not alone. And thank you all for always being there for me."
