LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: More information resurfaced regarding Jada Pinkett Smith and her estranged husband Will Smith's relationship. Jada recently asserted that she has transformed into a sort of "urban nun" in an effort to find "clarity and emotional sobriety" in her life.
In another promotional interview with the New York Times on Saturday, October 14, Jada discussed her love for meditation and reading holy books like the Bible, the Quran, or the Bhagavad Gita, a Hindu classic.
Moreover, she forgoes sex, alcohol, violent entertainment, and unnecessary spending, similar to a nun.
Jada Pinkett and Will Smith are 'life partners in family and business'
The 'Girls Trip' actress revealed on Today on October 14 that she and the 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' actor have been living "completely separate lives" since 2016.
Jada, 52, revealed to the Times that as a 50th birthday present to herself, she had left the Calabasas, California property the estranged couple shared and purchased her own place in the suburban Los Angeles neighborhood.
The famous Hollywood couple tied the knot in 1997, but their marriage has long been hounded by accusations of infidelity and their sexual orientation.
Both have spoken about their separations and marital issues in the past, but Jada said that they are effectively divorced without filing any paperwork, per Daily Mail.
Furthermore, Will conveyed the impression that the two had a close and intense relationship when he penned his own memoir in 2021.
During the Friday interview, 'Today' host Hoda Kotb questioned Jada, "Why not just amicably divorce? Why not just do that."
To which, Jada replied, "We don't want to. We love our family, and we love each other. You know, it's more of a life partnership. Now, ten years from now, who knows?"
"We wanted to create a family we never had, and we did that," The New York Times quoted Jada as saying, "And we enjoy our family. For us, our marriage is like a cornerstone of that for now. Who knows in 10 years."
Internet riled up Jada and asked to 'take us out the group chat'
Following Jada's bombshell revelations about being an "urban nun of sorts," the irked internet sarcastically requested to be left out of her updates.
An X (formerly Twitter) user with the username @DmwJnt329 posted a clip of a diss song where the singer sings "Please take us out the group chat" with a fake guitar made of a broom and notebook paper, captioning it, "This hits perfectly."
Several other X users joined along vibing to the same tune, trolling Jada for her recent revelations.
One X user claimed, "Nobody wanted to hear this mess from her. Yes please take us out the group chat and burn the red table."
A second one agreed and wrote, "YES! I don't even use that mute words feature often, but I'm so tired of hearing about them."
A third one quipped, "Tupac is not available," while a fourth one typed, "Every time Jada speaks I keep wondering who's asking."
"As much as we hope, Jada will never take us out of the group chats because she loves to talk about herself Non-Stop," seethed another one.
One more X user explained, "She never wanted to marry him out of her own mouth. We as the public need to stop looking at these celebrities as goals. We never know and don't wanna know what's going on."
Bashing Will and Jada, another one posted with a funny GIF, "@jadapsmith @willsmith please please keep us out of your group chat ."
The same user further joked, "I know there is a cost of living crisis and bills must be paid but do not expose all your dirty laundry. You have children, there will be grandchildren… it’s your story for you and your family."
