LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Following the announcement of the 2024 Grammy Award nominees on Friday, November 10, Taylor Swift and Barbra Streisand are now tied for the biggest record at the ceremony!

The two formidable figures in the music industry are currently the only female artists in history to have been nominated for six Album of the Year awards at the Grammys.

Taylor Swift was nominated for her sixth album of the year 'Midnights'

The pop sensation made history by becoming the first individual to receive seven nominations for the category Song of the Year during her entire career.

The song that received a nomination this year in that particular category was her smash song 'Anti-Hero.'

Swift is nominated for six Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, with 'Midnights.' She now shares the record for most female nods in the category with Barbra Streisand with this most recent nomination.

The Eras Tour performer was nominated for six awards in all, including Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop/Duo Group Performance, and Record of the Year, per NBC News.

In addition, 'Midnights' was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album. Her remix of Ice Spice's 'Karma' received a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

'Midnights' is a strong contender for the Grammy, and in a few short months, she might become the first performer to win the award four times.

Swift holds the record for most wins as an artist with her three Album of the Year victories. She's currently on par with Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, and Frank Sinatra, per Forbes.

Swift will be competing against new lines by Boygenius, Jon Batiste, Miley Cyrus, Lana Del Rey, Janelle Monáe, Olivia Rodrigo, and SZA.

With nine nominations this year, SZA is the most nominated artist, followed by Phoebe Bridgers, Serban Ghenea, and Victoria Monét, each with seven nominations.

The winners of the forthcoming Grammy Awards will be announced on February 4, 2024.

Barbara Streisand has received 8 Grammy Awards wins out of 43 nominations

For her part, Streisand has received 8 Grammy Awards wins out of 43 nominations during her entire career.

Her nominees for Album of the Year include 'My Name Is Barbra,' 'People,' 'Color Me Barbra,' 'The Barbra Streisand Album,' 'Guilty,' and 'The Broadway Album.'

Although she has received recognition in various fields, her last nomination for the Grammy was in 1987.

Swift has won the award 3 times, for 'Fearless,' '1989,' and 'folklore,' while Streisand has only won one, for 'The Barbra Streisand Album,' per Broadway World. Swift's two previous nominated albums are 'Red' and 'evermore.'
