LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sandra Bullock is among the most dynamic Hollywood stars who carved a niche for herself with her phenomenal performances. The 58-year-old ‘Speed’ star’s stellar skills were widely celebrated in 2010 when she clinched at least six major awards including an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for her role in ‘The Blind Side’. However, despite all of her ground-breaking successes in 2010, the year ended up being a nightmare in terms of her personal life.
Bullock's love life has not exactly been smooth since she hasn't had much luck with men. The actress dated several famous personalities but none of them crushed her heart like her ex-husband Jesse James did. James is an auto technician and television personality who has been on the Discovery's 'Monster Garage'. Bullock and James first met in 2003 and after two years of dating discreetly, the couple got hitched in a private ceremony in Santa Barbara in 2005.

Why did Sandra Bullock and Jesse James split?
Before divorcing in 2010, things were very rough between the two. Things got even messier between Bullock and James after their divorce when he revealed the reason why they split. In 2011, the motorbike mogul confessed to having several extra-marital affairs that ended his marriage with the ‘Gravity’ star. “I never shied away from anything I did. I took full responsibility. I cheated on my wife. Guess what? So do millions of other men,” he told Men’s Journal, according to KoiMoi.
James continued by noting that he was not 100% present in their marriage. “To be honest, it was unfair for me to even be in a relationship. I sabotaged everything. I was never 100 percent in. I’m self-destructive. I made some seriously f****d-up choices,” he reportedly said.
Later, James made another startling confession that left Bullock embarrassed. He revealed that he had trust concerns with Bullock while appearing on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio. Reflecting on the actress's Oscar 2010 acceptance speech, James said “Yeah, she could stand there in front of the world and say she loved me, but in my mind, I was thinking, yeah b******t…’You don’t love me.'”
James did not just stop there. He compared Bullock to his then-girlfriend, Kat Von D, whom he started dating just months after his divorce. He made a shocking revelation when the Stern asked him, “Who’s more fun in bed?” The motorcyclist quickly replied, “That one’s an easy no-brainer.” After confirming that he was speaking about Kat, James said, “Yes, sir. 100 percent. She’s a vixen. The way she gets in my head and makes me feel,” as per a report by Animated Times.
'I did cheat on my wife'
A few years later, James justified cheating on the Hollywood heavyweight, stating it was a "part of life." "Yeah, I did cheat on my wife, yeah, I stood up and took accountability for it and apologized. And that's the end of the story. Everything else was just…” he told Daily Mail in 2017. At the time, he said that he had been brutally slammed by social media trolls for sleeping around while he was married to the actress.
"The easy [put down] is like, 'Oh well you cheated on Sandra Bullock'. That's the world's easiest comeback,” he said, adding, "In general, both women and men cheat. It's part of life."
James underwent therapy post his divorce and went on to date several other women. Bullock, meanwhile, found love in photographer Bryan Randall, whom she lives with. They have been dating since 2015 and the rest is history. The ‘Proposal’ star has also adopted two children, Louis, 10, and eight-year-old Laila.
