LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rick Ross has made headlines after his candid take on Jada Pinkett Smith and her newly released memoir 'Worthy' during a recent interview with Rolling Stone.
The 47-year-old rapper expressed strong sentiments about Jada's book tour and the personal revelations it contained without holding back.
In 'Worthy', Jada opened up about the finer details of her life and her relationship with husband Will Smith. The memoir offers readers an extremely intimate view of the famous couple's marriage, leaving no stone unturned.
Ross had previously spoken of his disapproval, especially regarding Jada's openly discussing her and Will's private matters, which he said caused him to reevaluate his own perspective on marriage.
What did Rick Ross say about Jada Pinkett Smith?
When asked what he thought of Jada's book tour, Ross replied, "I don’t think I agree with Jada Pinkett. To me, she’s psychologically lost and needs some counseling."
"What you going to tell us next? When you tell us you haven’t been together in six years, you haven’t had sex in this many years, you don’t have a prenuptial agreement — OK, what’s next? I heard the book flopped because she already told us everything. No one cares," he continued.
"That’s what they don’t understand. Sometimes as celebrities you can get out of touch. Will Smith isn’t the same Will Smith as he was 20 years ago. Jada Pinkett … come on, Jada! Chill out, baby! You were in the movie Set It Off, and that’s all we know you from. You got $15K for that role and that’s it. Calm down," Ross said.
"You f**ked your son’s best friend. You said your son introduced you to psychedelics. What’s next?! And to be honest, we’re not interested! I don’t want to know if Tupac got alopecia! Jada, Rozay still got love for you, but go sit down," Ross added.
Internet slams Rick Ross for his take on Jada Pinkett Smith
Ross' take on the topic did not find support from netizens. Underneath an Instagram post by Hollywood Unlocked, comments bashed Ross for his opinion.
"Why this man so invested in what this grown a** woman does anyway? Sir mind ya business and eat your lemon pepper wings 😂😂😂" said a user.
"New York Times best seller. He could've did his research before spreading negative lies," quipped another.
"Says the man who needs counseling his damn self," commented a third.
A commenter had a longer take on Ross, saying, "Her book didn’t flop at all actually lol And from those who have read it already they’ve said it’s very good. That reading her & Will’s book helps them understand everything. And she barely told anything. The book is over 400 pages long lol She’s for damn sure known for more than just Set It Off and is more of a treasure and icon in the Black Entertainment Community than he is. His track record with black women tho makes his opinion on a black woman null and void fr."
"Like mind your business. That’s still another man’s wife. Did Will not teach y’all anything with the Chris Rock situation? 🥴" said a fifth user.
