NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Real Housewives of New York City' star Bethenny Frankel was recently slammed for giving away her "leftover makeup" to TJ Maxx employees. Referring to the same, the star once again took to Instagram to respond to the controversy. But, it seems that the reality star instead indirectly took a jab at TJ Maxx employees for not being unable to "afford" expensive makeups.
Bethenny claimed as she was at TJ Maxx one of the employees looked at her makeup and said, "Ohh, wish I could afford it." Bethenny couldn't give it to her because of TJ Maxx's no-gift policy for the employees.
A user took Bethenny's video to a Reddit thread with title "Bethenny Frankel responds to the controversy surrounding her giving away used makeup to employees of T.J. Maxx who aren’t allowed to take gifts for policy reasons" slamming the star for publicly calling out TJ Maxx employees to not be able to "afford" expensive makeup.
A user took the screenshot of Bethenny's comment to one of the fans saying, "Also gonna post this reply because…. wow." In the comment section, we can see a user claiming, "Why is the assumption that Counseula can't afford a Patrick Ta pallette? Genuine question, been a long time follower."
To this, 'RHONY' star replied, "Bc she is a cashier at TJ Maxx," indirectly hinting TJ Maxx employees does not get paid enough. Seeing the reply, a user commented, "She’s a horrible human being."
Bethenny was seen explaining in the video how she took a bag of almost unused products, made a sealed bag of all the makeup products, and sent it to shelters, staff, and friends.
Bethenny took to Instagram to claim, "White savior complex, people like to use this really big "woke" words and terms like 'narrative' and 'gaslighting' just to act like that they're really smart." She adds, "I may have white savior complex because I brought perfectly good unused but open makeup to people that I don't think would be able to buy this level of makeup on their own."
Seeing this, an Instagram user slammed the reality star saying, "Hey, I know you can't afford this makeup, so let me film you showing everyone the s**t you can't afford. Let me just put you on the spot." Another claimed, "Not everything needs to be taped. Do a good deed. Carole was so spot on."
Another commented, "It’s also reminds me of people filming feeding homeless people and taking videos of them it’s mean and we don’t know their story rude to post things like that."
Bethenny responded to the 'white savor complex' controversy by posting a video with caption, "People become so obsessed with others and their actions that you live rent free in their head. It’s amusing but quite sad to fixate on someone else to garner attention for yourself. When it doesn’t land it becomes embarrassing. It says much more about them than us. Have a beautiful Sunday. PS. Call Maryann at RH outlet in Riverhead and ask her how the girls & male manager feel about it!!"

The TikTok was captioned, "Bethenny going to TJ Maxx and giving the employees her opened, “once used” makeup as a gift. “Nobody wants your used makeup, lady.” Thoughts?"
Carole reshared the video sent to her saying, "Who sent this to me? Lol. I mean stop this nonsense."
Carole then slammed Bethenny saying, "So much to unpack but I’m not getting paid to do this any longer. But here…one “word”: #whitesaviorcomplex."
