BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA: New Jersey native Olivia Dunne aka Livvy, or the "golden girl" of sports, is undoubtedly one of the most prominent figures in American gymnastics. Over the past few years, Dunne has mastered the art of posting captivating sports-related content on the Internet, garnering millions of fans across her various social media accounts.

Dunne is undoubtedly a skilled gymnast. Even though she is far from being at the same level as some of the top gymnasts in the world, Dunne has made a name for herself at Louisiana State University. However, throughout her undergraduate career, she has mostly competed in floor exercise and uneven bars segments. The influencer has been primarily focusing on the bars as she performs the best in them and has a career-high score of 9.925. Dunne has also been recorded as the All-American in gymnastics twice, once against Alabama during her rookie season and another time against Centenary during her sophomore campaign.

Moreover, she has participated in the uneven bars event at each of her school's three SEC title appearances, with her best being a fifth-place result during a 2021 competition, going on to participate in the NCAA Championships in 2021 on the uneven bars. Despite LSU being last in its qualifying group behind Oklahoma, Utah, and Alabama, she earned a strong score of 9.90. In both the Raleigh Regional II and the match versus Alabama in 2022, Dunne logged a 9.90 in the floor exercise segment, making it her best score.

How did Olivia Dunne begin her gymnastics career?

The 2014 American Classic marked the beginning of Dunne's gymnastics career. At that competition, she made her professional debut at the age of 11, placing 28th overall. She had her best result in that competition on the balance beam, where she was placed 16th. Dunne would later participate in the US Classic, securing an overall 33rd place. At the 2015 American Classic, she significantly raised her ranks, finishing 7th overall and in the Top 10 on the beam and floor exercise. In the same year, she competed for the first time in the US National Championships, placing 25th overall.

Furthermore, Dunne received a call from Team USA inviting her to compete for the 2017 City of Jesolo Trophy as a member of the youth team after placing 12th in the 2016 US National Championships. She came in 5th position among her teammates to finish 6th overall in the competition, which helped the team win the gold medal. She finished 8th at the National Championships and 5th at the US Classic to cap off her greatest season with the junior squad.
