KENYA, AFRICA: Naomi Campbell shared the news of welcoming her second child on Thursday as she is now officially a mother of two at the age of 53. The supermodel took to Instagram to announce the birth of her newborn by sharing a photo of herself holding her baby.
"My little darling, know that you are cherished beyond measure and surrounded by love from the moment you graced us with your presence," she captioned the picture. "A True Gift from God, blessed! Welcome Babyboy. #mumoftwo. It’s never too late to become a mother," wrote Campbell.
Campbell welcomed her first child in 2021
Campbell revealed the birth of her first child in May 2021. "A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, So honored to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel," she captioned a pic of her holding the baby's feet. "There is no greater love," the model wrote of her baby girl.
Her daughter, who made it to the cover of British Vogue in 2022 when she was nine months old, has appeared on Campbell's social media only a few times. However, the actress did not reveal more about the process of having her daughter but during the interview with the publication, she confirmed that her first child was not adopted. "She wasn’t adopted -- she’s my child. I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her. But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done," she said.
"I always knew that one day I would be a mother, but it's the biggest joy I could ever imagine. I'm lucky to have her and I know that," said Campbell to the media outlet.
'I’ll see what the universe brings me'
The 53-year-old star previously shared that her first child loves to travel and had already hit a major milestone at such a young age. "She’s a good girl: she sleeps very well, she hardly ever cries and I’m told she’s very alert for her age. She’s just started waving, which is fun. She laughs a lot. She’s almost talking," she said, according to ET.
Talking to WSJ Magazine in 2019, Campbell shared she would possibly become a mother in the future and added that she sees herself as a mother figure to models who are younger. "I’ll see what the universe brings me," she said at the time.
