FIREBAUGH, CALIFORNIA: The mysterious disappearance of Melanie Stephanie Rios Camacho has left the community of Firebaugh on edge as police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding her vanishing.
The 19-year-old reportedly got off work and was on her way to meet her ex-boyfriend before she was reported missing and her car was discovered abandoned and set ablaze, according to authorities in California.

Camacho who was last seen at around 10.15 pm at her job at AutoZone on Gateway Drive in Madera on Friday, November 24, is four-foot-11-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She was wearing a gray shirt with the AutoZone logo. She wore black pants and a Nike sweater with a zipper.
Camacho wears braces on her teeth and has brown hair and brown eyes, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.

The mother of the missing teenager in Firebaugh, California, alerted authorities on Friday evening, November 24, that Camacho failed to return home, reports Law and Crime.
Earlier that night, Camacho had called her mother to inform her that she was headed to a "friend's" house after work.
The mother who was worried after she did not return home then tried to locate Camacho's cellphone and tried contacting her. However, she was unable to reach her daughter or trace her phone's location.
Alarmingly, Camacho missed her morning shift at AutoZone on Saturday, November 25, raising additional concerns.
Further investigation into the young girl's disappearance revealed that Camacho had been more specific about her plans with coworkers and another friend as she told them she was meeting her "ex-boyfriend" after work. The identity of her ex-boyfriend has not been disclosed.
On Saturday, November 25, Camacho's white 2014 Nissan Altima was discovered near a farm situated near Avenue 14 and Road 8 in Madera. The car which was abandoned was on fire when authorities responded to the scene.
Police ask the public for help to locate Melanie Camacho
Speaking to Fresno ABC affiliate KFSN, Madera County Sheriff Tyson Pogue said they are asking the public to help them locate the missing teenager.
"We know that 19-year-olds typically don’t unplug from the world and fall off the face of the earth," he told the outlet.
He further stated that there was no indication of any problems with her and "for all intents and purposes, everything was going fine" in her life "until she didn’t show up" at her home.
