NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former Fox News star Megyn Kelly recently clapped back at trolls who allegedly forced Kylie Jenner to delete her pro-Israel post on Instagram.
In her podcast, 'The Megyn Kelly Show,' Kelly discussed how the same individuals who posted images of the Ukrainian flags failed to express similar support for Israel.
The 52-year-old mentioned how Kylie Jenner, who boasts nearly 400 million Instagram followers, faced substantial backlash from her audience and had to remove her 'I Stand with Israel' post.
Jenner's post had come in response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's declaration during a live televised address, stating that the country was at war and that "the enemy will pay an unprecedented price."
Megyn Kelly slams trolls over Kylie Jenner’s pro-Israel post
Kylie Jenner came under fire for sharing a photo from the pro-Israel account @StandWithUs, which featured the Israeli flag. She captioned the post, “Now and always, we stand with the people of Israel!”
Yet, due to the significant backlash from her vast number of followers, the 26-year-old had no choice but to remove the post, with many advising her to refrain from getting involved in political matters.
Kelly, who had been discussing the Israel-Hamas conflict on her podcast, became aware of Jenner's situation and opted to expose the double standards of her followers and the individuals who pressured her to delete the post.
The ex-Fox News host said, “Kylie Jenner. Again. Her reaction is not important but the backlash is telling. She has 400 million followers on Instagram. She similarly put out the Israeli flag with “I Stand With Israel” and she had to delete it an hour later because there was so much blowback to her.”
Kelly then told her viewers that the people who rattled Jenner and forced her to delete the post were the ones who would post snaps of Ukrainian flags, supporting their retaliation against Russia.
She said, “I mean these same people are probably posting Ukrainian flags as we speak but when it comes to Israel, it’s a very different story.”
Internet divides over Kylie Jenner's pro-Israel post
The debate continues regarding Jenner's decision to delete the post, but a substantial online community believed that the socialite and media personality should have "stood firm" and not removed it.
One wrote, “Kylie should have held on & defied the mob. We must never give in to the mob. We are the normal ones, we must challenge this hate.”
A second said, “She should have kept it up.”
A third added, “I don't get it, if that's how she really feels, why delete it? She has plenty of money, it isn't going to hurt her to lose a handful of obnoxious fans that she would be better off without anyway. No one has a backbone anymore.”
Another stated, “Keep the damn flag flying Kylie don't back down to the deplorables!!”
A fifth said, “Her heart is in the right place but her fake followers push her in the wrong direction and she listens. GOD IS THE TRUTH."
