BOISE, IDAHO: The Grandfather of 'doomsday' cult mom Lori Vallow's son was seen upbeat as jury deliberations resumed for the second day on Friday. Dressed in a "World’s Greatest Papa” t-shirt, Larry Woodcock played 'The Party’s Over' while lined up outside the court.
The jury of seven men and five women began deliberations on Thursday afternoon and ended up with no judgment after four hours. They resumed deliberations on Friday morning.

Even though the cameras have been banned from the Ada County Court in Boise, Idaho where concluding arguments were held on Thursday, the eagerly anticipated verdict is expected to be live-streamed. Lori Vallow, 49, is charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, and grand theft in the murders of her 16-year-old daughter Tylee Ryan and her 7-year-old son Joshua "JJ" Vallow. She is also charged with first-degree murder conspiracy in the killing of her new husband Chad Daybell's previous wife, Tammy Daybell, 49.

Both songs had special value for him and his grandson JJ, and they would frequently sing them together, he added.
"Tearing up, Larry said, “I’m not the world's greatest papa… but I hope I was the world's greatest papa to JJ and Tylee.” JJ and Tylee were last seen in September 2019. One month later, in October 2019, Tammy died. Her cause of death was first ruled as natural, but an exhumation and autopsy later proved that she had been asphyxiated.

She then conspired with Daybell and her brother Alex Cox to kill the three victims. Following the shock announcement by Vallow's attorneys on Tuesday that they would not be presenting a defense case or calling any witnesses, the jury heard nothing from any defense witnesses.

Defense in the closing arguments tried to shift the blame on Dayell by arguing that she was not a leader but a "follower" of Daybell. The publication noted, her attorney Jim Archibald tried to portray her as a devout "good mom" whose life abruptly changed when she met Daybell.
