NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Megyn Kelly’s recent remarks about the supposed negative impacts of the MeToo movement on modern men have struck a chord with her ardent followers. She also shared her opinion on how online pornography has redefined sex, calling it more "disgusting" and argued that it has destroyed love and romance.
The former Fox News host was joined by Owen Strachan, author of 'The War on Men', on her podcast, 'The Megyn Kelly Show' to discuss various topics, including the consequences of the MeToo movement, society’s apparent hate for men, and the deterioration of empathy and understanding among men, to name a few.
Megyn Kelly speaks about the far-reaching damage of the MeToo movement on men
During her conversation with Owen Strachan, Megyn Kelly asked, "What role do you think the MeToo movement has played in all of this?"
Before letting her guest answer the question, she added, "I think the overreach of that movement has done some real damage. Not to say that the beginnings of it didn’t do some good."
Kelly continued, "I think beyond MeToo in workplace settings and you know in college campus settings, you have to get a permission slip before you even kiss a girl. These guys are terrified and that is part of manhood. The desire for a woman but they are being shamed out of it."
Strachan, who had been listening, intently jumped in, agreeing with Kelly, and stated for the viewers that a "proper training of boys and young men" is now the need of the hour.
Kelly also shed light on how due to the high consumption of online pornography, the idea surrounding sex has become "weird, disgusting, and false." She highlighted that the introduction of sex to young men through pornography can be "very damaging" and destructive to the lives of both men and women.
"That’s not a real relationship in any shape or form...and it’s so many risks in going into that route," expressed the host.
Fans support Megyn Kelly's views on the damaging effects of the MeToo movement
It's safe to say that fans of Megyn Kelly liked her take on the MeToo movement, as many went on to comment about how they related to her.
One said, "Kudos Megyn for speaking out hard against porn and its damage… great guest."
Another opined, "The MeToo movement has hurt women more than men. From a man’s point of view, the risk is just too great, and women end up alone. Men end up alone too, but are better equipped."
"I can't think of anything more destructive to men, women and family is porn. Just because it's common doesn't mean it's normal. The lie that "all men do it" needs to be crushed," stated a fan.
