TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS: A Texas woman with a history of domestic violence has been arrested for allegedly killing her mother and grandmother, a day before Thanksgiving.

Kaitlyn Marie Bailey was on the run for two days
The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office sent out a public alert on Wednesday, November 22, stating that authorities were actively searching for Kaitlyn Bailey who was identified as the main suspect in the murder. She was said to be driving a black 2007 Ford Fusion and was believed to be in possession of a handgun.
If spotted, the public was advised not to approach Kaitlyn Bailey as she was considered armed and dangerous. Law enforcement engaged in a two-day search for Kaitlyn Bailey before the defendant was located, taken into custody and charged with the double homicide.
Despite requesting the public’s help as they searched for Kaitlyn Bailey, authorities have remained tight-lipped about the alleged crime and have not released any details regarding the slayings.
The victims Shari Bailey and Bertha Bailey were ‘two of the kindest souls’
According to a report from KXAS, Bailey’s family members identified the victims as the suspect’s mother, Shari Bailey, and her grandmother, Bertha Bailey.
“I can hardly breathe let alone believe that these two blessed ladies were taken from us today,” the unidentified family member reportedly wrote on Facebook.
“Two of the kindest souls I know. [The] family was number one for them. Love you forever Bertha Bailey. And Shari Bailey.”
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Shari Bailey’s residence at Joalene Court in Rendon, about 35 miles southwest of Dallas, was the scene of a double homicide early in the morning.
A woman who lives two houses away from where the victims were found said, “I felt pity for the victims because they were very good people,” the neighbor told the station.
The suspect had previous convictions for assaulting family members. The Star-Telegram reported that Kaitlyn Bailey has a history of committing domestic violence and had previously attacked her mother at least one time prior to last week.
Kaitlyn Bailey reportedly pleaded guilty to strangling her mother in 2021 and in 2016, she reportedly pleaded guilty to assaulting an unidentified family member. It is unclear what punishments Kaitlyn Bailey faced for those convictions.
