WASHINGTON, DC: In the aftermath of a devastating Hamas terror attack that has claimed the lives of at least 900 Israelis, prominent journalist Megyn Kelly has lashed out at progressive members of Congress who have blamed Israel.
Specifically, Kelly called out Representatives Rashida Tlaib and Cori Bush for their statements that labeled Israel as an "apartheid" state and called for an end to the "military occupation" of Gaza.
On her show Monday, October 9, Kelly discussed the shocking attack perpetrated by Palestinian terrorists, shedding light on the gruesome details that have unfolded, including the rapes and murders of innocent women, children, and the elderly.

Kelly didn't mince her words, stating there are "raging anti-semites in the halls of Congress."
She singled out Rashida Tlaib, the sole Palestinian American member of Congress, for her unequivocal blame on Israel. "Rashida Tlaib of course, predictably, she's the only Palestinian American a member of Congress, tweeting out finally - she went silent and then finally tweeted … 100% she blames Israel," said Kelly.
Rep Cori Bush, Kelly asserted, has directed her "never-ending life of grievance" at Israel.
In a conversation with Texas Senator Ted Cruz, Kelly emphasized that these members of Congress openly express their anti-Israel sentiments.
"You got some raging anti-Semites in the halls of Congress. Thanks a lot, Minnesota. Thanks a lot, Missouri. Thanks a lot, The Bronx, where AOC reportedly came from. They're open about it, they're not even trying to hide it, and they're the reason why a lot of this money does get funneled over there. They really see Israel as the aggressor," she said.
Cruz concurred, remarking that "in today’s Democrat party, anti-Semitism has been normalized."
"These radical leftists, they loathe the State of Israel … You'll remember a few years ago when the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi tried to pass a resolution condemning anti-semitism. And it turned out she couldn't get her conference to agree. The Democrats could not come together and clearly condemn anti-semitism," he continued.
The veteran news anchor pointed out the insensitivity of Congressional leftists who, even in the wake of the tragic weekend events, placed blame on Israel.
Kelly said, "There are literally parents desperately searching for their babies right now. We saw the murders in the streets with our own eyes… Who would murder a baby? An elderly person? Evil. Just absolute evil. And all they want to do is say 'Well, they're [Israel] evil too.'"
The weekend witnessed a shocking barrage of 2,000 rockets fired into Israeli cities, alongside a ground attack marked by the kidnapping, torture, and murder of women, children, and the elderly by militant Palestinian terrorists, the Daily Mail reported.
In contrast to this, Rashida Tlaib's statement expressed grief for both Palestinian and Israeli lives lost.
"The path to that future must include lifting the blockade, ending the occupation, and dismantling the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance," she said.
Tlaib criticized the United States for providing "billions in unconditional funding to support the apartheid government," blaming both the United States and Israel for the ongoing violence.
The Michigan congresswoman has a history of making controversial remarks about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, particularly concerning Israel's policies regarding settlements in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Cori Bush, another member of Congress, boycotted Israeli President Isaac Herzog's joint address to Congress over the summer and urged the US to end its support for "Israeli military occupation and apartheid."
Social media users excoriated the "Squad" members, questioning the choices of voters who elected them to office.
"Who votes for these people?" one posted on X.
"The problem is not 'the squad' but the people that vote for them, if they vote at all in the US," another insisted.
"They all need to be removed from office," someone else offered.
"Believe them. They are showing exactly who they are," another chimed in.
That said, Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar, another member of the Squad, did identify Hamas in her condemnation of the violence in Israel and expressed concern for the people of Gaza, who lack shelters and protection from international communities.
Other Squad members, such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, called for an immediate ceasefire and de-escalation in the region, emphasizing the need for lasting peace and respect for human rights.
The surprise attack by Hamas occurred just one day after the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, during which Israel faced existential threats from hostile neighbors led by Egypt and Syria. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu immediately declared a state of war and vowed "mighty vengeance" on Israel's attackers.
