LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Gwen Stefani will reportedly receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2024. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced on June 26 that the ‘The Voice’ judge will be included on the famed landmark along with 31 other celebrities. The singer shared the news on Instagram with an old photo of herself from her childhood. However, her fans had just one question: “What took so long?”
Stefani shared the momentous news by captioning the photo with, “Who’s gonna tell her she’s receiving a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star?!” She further wrote, “This feels like a dream!! Thank u to everyone who made this possible gx.”
The singer will be felicitated along with Dr Dre, Toni Braxton, Michelle Yeoh, Chris Pine, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gal Gadot, Marvel boss Kevin Feige and producer Chris Meledandri. Otis Redding and Chadwick Boseman will posthumously receive the honor. Stefani was selected to receive the honor just a month after her husband, Blake Sheldon, recieved his own star.
'You are my dream come true'
Stefani was over the moon when Shelton received his star in May. The songstress delivered a heartwarming speech while Sheldon was receiving his star, saying, "The reason Blake Shelton is here today on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is because you are part of the country dream, the Hollywood dream and you are part of the American dream. And everybody knows you are my dream come true. I love you," as per 1 News. In his speech, Shelton said, "I kind of stopped checking things off my list of great accomplishments in my life when I married Gwen, so this is just icing on the cake."
'What took so long?'
