LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: John Stamos had quite a few things to say about his ex-wife Rebecca Romjin in his new memoir.
The ‘Full House’ star called the reality star ‘devil’ during his press tour and that sure didn’t go well with her.
Jerry O’Connell opens up on John Stamos' new memoir
Jeryy O’Connell, Rebecca’s husband, made an appearance on Andy Cohen’s 'SiriusXM' radio show on Tuesday, November 14.
“I have not read it. There was an interest in my household. But it’s so funny, after hearing his interview beginning to end on ‘The Howard Stern Show,’ any interest in reading the book went away,” he said.
Stamos had also shared that he felt ‘emasculated’ when he was with Romjin. The 60-year-old’s marriage ultimately fell off, leaving him ‘shattered.’
“I think those are the only parts we were interested in our house, and we got to them and they were talked about,” O’Connell reflected.
The family felt ‘awkward’ when Stamos thought the former model seemed like a ‘devil’ to him. “I don’t really need to hear about the casting process of famous sitcoms. That’s not something that really interests us," he said.
“There’s like a little bit of an eye roll happening with each other,” O’Connell continued.
“But it’s pretty crazy when your kids come out for breakfast and they go, ‘Hey, mom, your ex has a book out and called you the devil. What are your thoughts?,'” he continued.
How many children do Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn have?
O’Connell, 49, and Romijn, 51, share 14-year-old twin daughters, Charlie Tamara Tulip and Dolly Rebecca Rose.
Stamos told People in October, that after the divorce with Rebecca, he felt ‘humiliated.’ “It’s like, ‘Oh, she wasn’t the devil. Maybe I was as much to blame as her,’” he said on a second thought.
“It was very much the opinion that she dumped me because her career was going great and mine wasn’t. I don’t blame her for it. It was just the perception that people took. Maybe they weren’t wrong,” Stamos said.
“She was doing great at that time and I wasn’t. If I didn't go through all the things, all the heartache," the 'Scream Queens' alum told PageSix.
"I wouldn't be who I am today. That's what I hope people take away from it," he added.
Stamos is now married to Caitlin McHugh Stamos and are now proud parents to their five-year-old son Billy.
