ITALY, EUROPE: Fans of the seductive Colombian beauty Sofia Vergara are on high alert as she celebrated her 51st birthday where husband Joe Manganiello, 46, was noticeably absent. The 'Modern Family' actress is on vacation in Capri, Italy, with friends with whom she celebrated her birthday on Monday, July 10. Her husband surprisingly sent her a cold congratulations on Instagram, which raised concerns that perhaps their marriage was not having a good time.
The Barranquilla beauty reached a significant life milestone on Monday when she completed another year on this planet. Sofia's birthday, however, did not receive the usual fanfare because her husband did not pay her expected gushing tributes. The 'Magic Mike's Last Dance' actor celebrated his wife's 51st birthday by posting two pictures to his Instagram feed. The first was a vintage photo of the pair that was fuzzy and blurry in quality. The following slide, which showed a crystal decoration with lights, was even more perplexing. "Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía!!!" Manganiello captioned the picture in Spanish with an English translation, "Happy Birthday, Sofia."
'It sounds bad'
Fans shared their worries in the comment section about his alleged lack of enthusiasm in honoring his wife's special day. One worried fan wrote, "Joe, I hope you guys are ok, that was a very different(cold) happy birthday wish to your wife, compare to previous ones!" Another fan questioned, "Am I the only one who doesn’t like the way it sounds? “ Sofia”.... not even “ My love, My beloved wife” ...." A third fan exclaimed, "Ok this is weird. I'm scared." Someone else expressed concern and wrote, "Exactly Joe! That is not your usual message to Sofia." Another fan typed, "Noooooo. It sounds bad." One more fan questioned, "Why so dry?!" Another exclaimed, "Something is off. Cold message for her and has two stories about his dog’s birthday. And sofia has not even said thank you."
Several fans commented in Spanish which when translated read, "The pet's birthday gave him more excitement," "What a cold greeting 🥶, not a drop of love expressed Joe Manganiello," "Sofia on tour celebrating her 51st birthday without her beloved????. That smells of separation to me.... what a shame!!!!" and "This couple is no longer late to release the "communication".
'But where is hubby?'
In the meantime, the Colombian actress has been busy partying in Italy with her friends. "So lucky to have my best friends in my favorite restaurant in my favorite island!!! 🇮🇹🇮🇹 I love u @cb0728 @alejandroasen," Sofia captioned a sequence of pictures taken of her dining with her friends in Capri on Monday. Fans who questioned Manganiello's absence from the trip flooded the 'America's Got Talent' judge with comments.
A fan bluntly asked, "Where’s Joe." A second concerned fan penned, "But where is hubby? Not in a picture anywhere. And they put their house up for sale." A third fan chimed in Spanish, "And the hubby??? You don't see celebrating." Someone else wrote, "Because she always takes pictures alone.. And where is the husband...???"
Another individual mentioned that Manganiello was absent from Sofia's birthday vacation and hasn't "commented on" any of the pictures she has been uploading. Seven years into their marriage, the pair have not discussed their marital status in the media. As per The Sun, Manganiello was also absent from Sofia's July Fourth events earlier this month. The actress partied by the pool with her son Manolo, 31, her rarely-seen sister Sandra, and other family members.
After dating for more than a year, the couple got married in November 2015 at the Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Florida. Last year, Vergara posted a carousel of images and videos from their wedding day to Instagram in honor of their seventh wedding anniversary.
