FLAGSTAFF, ARIZONA: It seems like Meri Brown regrets encouraging her estranged husband Kody Brown to marry Robyn Brown.
At the moment, 'Sister Wives' viewers are busy pondering over the dynamics between co-stars Meri, Kody, and Robyn.
A Reddit thread with the question "Do you think Meri regrets encouraging Kody to marry Sobyn?" garnered a lot of attention with one user commenting, "They give a lot of versions of the meeting story - Meri introduced them, Meri and Kody were on a drive and both met Robyn at her cousins house, Meri told a reluctant Kody to ask Robyn to dance, Kody and Robyn had Holy Ghost butterflies from the start…."
One social media user added, "From what I remember, a producer wanted to do a show on polygamy. Christine was approached or she approached the producer. They met the family but said it was not interesting enough so they decided to add a wife and that's where Robyn came in. Word got out in the community and Robyn got hooked. The Browns and TLC tried to spin the story but people know."
Another user added, "They tell us this over and over again. "Wives are comfortable with other wives, they aren't comfortable with a girlfriend. Also, big EW at Robyn getting "her scent out there." Barf."
A person quipped, "No matter who technically introduced them or encouraged them to dance etc. I think that it excited Meri to have a secret with Kody. It was something that they shared together and Kody probably was a bit more sweet on her as well in the process. Kody is a pro in these secretive games, he has done the same with Robyn many times. Now, Meri has decided to break her silence and taken a strong stance with ex-husband Kody months after they announced their split.
In a teaser for Sunday, December 3 installment of TLC's 'Sister Wives: One on-One Special', the TV personality can be seen reflecting on the dissolution of the pair's marriage.
In a clip, Meri can be heard saying, "Oh, my voice will be heard. I will no longer be silent."
Why did Meri Brown and Kody Brown split?
In January 2023, Meri and Kody put out an official statement to confirm the news of their split. They pulled the plug on their marriage after 32 years together.
The pair said, "After more than a decade of working on our relationship in our own unique ways, we have made the decision to permanently terminate our marriage relationship."
The TLC stars further added, “During this process, we are committed to kindness and respect toward each other and to all members of our family, and we are also committed to the continued healing of any and all relationships within the family so that we can move forward with forgiveness, grace, and love. In kindness, Meri and Kody.”
Kody Brown admitted to only falling in love with Robyn, not his other wives
During the first episode of the new 'Sister Wives One-on-One' special with interviewer Sukanya Krishnan, Kody claimed that he never fell in love before he met and married Robyn in 2010.
Then, he said, "I fell in love with Robyn. I never fell in love with anybody else. I was just choosing to be in that covenant of love with them."
He went on to say, "I met Robyn, and there was a safety and a vulnerability that I had never experienced in my life. And I met her and I started weeping for joy and didn't stop for months."
