Taparia made a number of controversial statements regarding her clients and women in general, eliciting furious responses from netizens.

Taparia told interviewer Siddhaarth Aalambayan that those who desired divorce were egoistic.

She stated that the individuals she had matched had not considered divorce, but "if it happened, it is because they don’t have patience, flexibility, no willingness to adjust and have egoism."
