'I think you're still very hot': Harrison Ford, 80, gets flustered by 'thirst question' posed by Cannes reporter

CANNES, FRANCE: Actor Harrison Ford has been the leading man in films of many genres and it is no wonder why he is regarded as an American cultural icon. The 80-year-old Hollywood legend gained worldwide fame for his starring role as Han Solo in the epic space opera film 'Star Wars' and is also widely known for his portrayal of Indiana Jones in the eponymous film franchise. The actor has also starred in the dystopian science fiction film franchise 'Blade Runner' and in the spy thriller films like 'Patriot Games' and 'Clear and Present Danger'.

Ford's films have grossed more than $5.4 billion in North America and more than $9.3 billion worldwide, making him the seventh-highest-grossing actor in North America. Often referred to as "one of the hottest men of all time," he is the recipient of various accolades, including the AFI Life Achievement Award in 2000, the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2002, an Honorary César in 2010 and an Honorary Palme d'Or in 2023 in addition to an Academy Award nomination.

Harrison Ford tears up during 6-minute standing ovation for ‘Indiana Jones 5’, fans say 'well deserved'

While reflecting on his latest Indian Jones film, Ford was unsettled by a "thirst" question a reporter had in store for him during an interview at Cannes. The reporter, who is clearly a huge fan of the actor blundered out saying that Ford is still an eye candy to his fans even at probably the final phase of his acting career.

What did the reporter ask?

"I think you're still very hot, and we were stunned to see you take your shirt off in the second scene, and you still got it!", the reporter said. The entire room broke out into laughter as Harrison broke eye contact to awkwardly cover his mouth. The reporter, seemingly unbothered, chose to continue with his question, "How do you keep fit? And can you ride a horse?"

Harrison paused for a second and puckered his brows while giving a "Did she really just ask me that?" sort-of look. However, he laughed and responded to the question by replying, "What was the last part?"

'You did, right there on screen'

American filmmaker, James Mangold, who was seated to his right, answered the horse part with, "You did, right there on screen." "Let me tell ya, yeah, I can ride a horse", grinned Harrison before the entire room burst into laughter again when he added, "If they let me." He apologized to the reporter for being "cruel" and looked around before he whispered, "I've been blessed with this body. Thanks for noticing."

'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny' which is set to be the final part of the Indiana Jones franchise, is set to be released on June 30 this year. The movie has garnered mixed reviews from the film critics as the Independent claimed the movie was carried by Harrison Ford alone while the BBC described it as a "gloomy and depressing final act".
