However, Justine Lupe shares a few thrilling behind-the-scenes of ‘Succession’ including her chemistry with female stars on the set. She talked about her co-star, Matthew Macfadyen who was her childhood crush.

‘He’s the dreamiest’
‘Succession’ star Justine Lupe revealed behind-the-scenes secrets from the set of the show including her friendship with the female stars and her childhood crush. In the entirety of the four seasons, Lupe has deeply bonded with the cast and opened up about how they spend time together. While speaking with The Times, she said, “Snook is nothing like Shiv. When we’re not shooting everyone gets along really well. Everybody’s pretty, like, fun and lively”. Lupe also talked about women who got really close exclaiming, “Sarah, Zoë Winters, who plays Kerry. Juliana [Canfield, who plays Jess Jordan] is one of my best friends. J Smith-Cameron [Gerri]. We did a lot of girls’ dinners”. She continued, “I don’t think anyone got too hammered. It was pretty tame. Sometimes the boys would crash”.
During the conversation, she opened up about the rumors of her teenage crush on co-star Matthew Macfadyen who plays Tom Wambsgans on a similar show. He also starred as Mr. Darcy in the romcom ‘Pride and Prejudice’. Lupe, looking timid admitted, “OK, OK, I had a crush on Mr Darcy, which I’m sure is universal. How do you watch that movie and not have a crush on him?” She continued pouring her sentiments, “He’s, like, the dreamiest. I did tell him I used to have a crush on Mr. Darcy. He was very sweet about it”.
Justine Lupe’s unexpected stay on ‘Succession’
Originally, Justine Lupe was supposed to appear on ‘Succession' for only three episodes. Fortunately, with the series' popularity and increasing fanbase, she made a series regular in the third season. Lupe admitted that she knew ‘Succession’ was going to be a hit from the start. She confessed as she cried when the show finished, “I’m going to miss that set so much." Additionally, the show creator, Jesse Armstrong teased its fans adding, “There’s a promise in the title of Succession."
