LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actor Macaulay Culkin, famous for his role in 'Home Alone' and 'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York', will be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The ceremony to honor the 43-year-old actor with the 2,765th star on the famous Walk of Fame will take place on December 1 at 6353 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, as per the organization announcement on its Instagram page on Wednesday, November 15.
'Macaulay Culkin has been a staple in pop culture for decades'
Following his stunning performances as a child star, Macaulay has become a household name in Tinseltown.
The decision was made to award him the 2,765th star on the storied Los Angeles walkway in recognition of his enduring legacy.
Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, said in a statement: "Macaulay Culkin has been a staple in pop culture for decades."
"He has an extensive trajectory of work but his movie, 'Home Alone' is one of the most beloved holiday movies known the world over."
"How fitting that Catherine O’Hara who played Macaulay’s mother in the film is reuniting with her movie son and will be speaking at the ceremony!" continued Martinez, per the Hollywood Walk of Fame website.
Playing Burt Lancaster's grandson in 'Rocket Gibraltar,' Macaulay made his first of countless cameos in films at the age of four.
Macaulay initially gained notoriety in the John Hughes film 'Uncle Buck,' when he portrayed John Candy's curious nephew.
Subsequently, Macaulay gained widespread recognition for his leading performance in the Hughes film 'Home Alone,' where he portrayed Kevin McCallister, a savvy youngster who unintentionally gets left behind during a family vacation.
Besides being a global hit, 'Home Alone II: Lost in New York' starred Macaulay, who was nominated for a Golden Globe.
Macaulay went on to appear in films like 'My Girl,' for which he and co-star Anna Chlumsky won Best Kiss at the MTV Movie Awards. He has also acted in films such as 'The Good Son,' 'Richie Rich,' and 'Saved!'
