LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rapper 50 Cent seemed to have been taken aback by Jada Pinkett Smith's recent revelations about her separation from Will Smith as he took to his social media on October 15 to post about the actress.
He shared a picture of the Hollywood actress with the words, "Jada Pinkett Smith reveals she sold a lot of crack as a teenager," written on it and captioned his post, "Alright enough is an enough FREE WILL SMITH! ? WTF is going to on."
Notably, the rapper had called out Jada previously in 2021, after an episode of 'Red Table Talk' in which she revealed intimate details about her sex life with Will.
"Why she keep doing s**t like this? it makes the relationship appear weak. First, an entanglement now this, come on! WTF," said 50 Cent reacting to the episode.
What did Jada Pinkett Smith say about Will Smith?
During the press tour of her upcoming memoir 'Worthy', Jada Pinkett Smith shocked the world by revealing that she had been separated from Will Smith for seven years.
In an interview with Hoda Kotb on the 'Today' show, Jada stated that she could not understand why Will called her his "wife" at the 2022 Oscars when they had not referred to one another in that way in quite a while.
"First of all, I’m really shocked, because mind you, I’m not there. We haven’t called each other husband and wife in a long time. I’m like, ‘What is going on right now? “Keep my wife’s name out of your mouth”?’ I’m really worried for Will because I don’t know what’s going on," noted the actress.
She even opened up about thinking that Will slapping Chris Rock was part of a skit.
What is the 'Free Will Smith Movement'?
The podcasting group 'Orlando & The Freakshow' launched a campaign called 'Free Will Smith Movement' after Jada Pinkett Smith opened up about their separation.
On their website, the group states, "(Jada) keeps talking too much about herself, Will, Tupac, and we’re tired of it. In our opinion, we want her to take a step back and let Will go be himself. Orlando brought in posters to start picketing against Jada and wanted to start a new movement."
They continued, "The #FreeBigWilly movement along side with their new Free Willy shirts. The shirts are in support to free Will from Jada Pinkett Smith all together."
"The entire world was against Will for a while after he slapped Chris Rock but we want Will back. He has several movies coming out soon and we think it’s time to celebrate the original Will Smith," further stated the website.
"The one that we all fell in love with before the entanglement. Before the ‘Red Table Talk’ and before the Oscar slap. We want Will Smith to be free from Jada Pinkett Smith and have a fresh start," added the group.
Internet reacts to 50 Cent's 'Free Will Smith' post
As soon as 50 Cent made the post on X (formerly Twitter), the Internet poured in to share their opinions, often mocking the rapper.
"He can free himself," stated one, attaching a picture of Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars, while another added, "He doesn’t need freeing he’s gat a FREEWILL."
A user said, "They are all free."
