NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ star Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella Strahan recently resurfaced on Instagram to wish her father on his birthday.
The former NFL star celebrated his 52nd birthday on November 21, with Isabella making a conscious effort to shower her beloved father with love.
The 19-year-old usually refrains from posting on social media consistently but for her father, she broke her streak of inactivity and returned to Instagram with two rare throwback snaps.
Isabella Strahan shares two rare snaps for Michael Strahan’s birthday
Isabella took to her Instagram story and first shared a sweet photo of herself alongside her father while the pair enjoyed some pizza together.
It was a throwback from when the father and daughter shared a pizza date. She captioned the photo, ”Love you."
In the picture, the ‘GMA’ host Michael is looking straight into the camera while in an all-black ensemble along with a Louis Vuitton cap. To his right, Isabella grins, with her curly hair pulled back into a ponytail and a fresh look. The father and daughter appear to be at an Italian restaurant.
The second snap that Isabella shared to her story was a throwback photo of herself with her sister Sophia in their father's lap as babies.
"Happy birthday dad," she captioned the snapshot, taken alongside her twin sister Sophia.
Michael sat in between the young girls, who wore matching pink outfits, and grinned into the camera. The toddlers, who couldn't have been more than two or three years old in the picture, cuddled with their father in the childhood photo.
This is one of the first times Isabella has taken to social media since her brief hiatus. She had been offline, dealing with what has been reported as "personal matters.” It's unclear if this marks Isabella's return to social media for the foreseeable future.
Michael Strahan was off work due to ‘personal matters’
Isabella and Sophia’s father Michael Strahan was absent from ‘GMA’ and his ‘Fox NFL Sunday’ job for nearly three weeks.
He returned on November 15 to ‘GMA’, and ‘NFL Sunday’ the weekend prior. An ABC executive revealed why the former football player was missing for so long.
“Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters," a source from the network told The US Sun.
“We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and concerns,” the source concluded.
