"Happy Thanksgiving, friends! I always have so much to be grateful for, but today I get to be grateful for my greatest blessing, Athena. Forever grateful to our beautiful surrogate family who helped us bring Athena into this world. We love you guys so much," Menounos, 45, shared in her caption.
Menounos shares a series of photos with her daughter
"This is a series of photos I took this morning as Athena is just now starting to pull my hair! I told her don’t pull Daddy’s. He doesn’t have enough 😂🤣❤️," she joked in the caption.
"Hope you all have a blessed day and if you find yourself in the midst of life’s challenges, or storms believe me I know what that feels like. I’m sending you extra love. God bless you all," she added.
The elated mother also posted a heartwarming video of her playing with her baby girl and giving her kisses, telling her, "My biggest blessing right here. You are Mommy’s greatest blessing. I love you so much. Mommy loves you with her life."
Menounos celebrated her daughter's first Halloween in October
Menounos celebrated her daughter's first Halloween in October, posting a photo of the festivities on her Instagram Story.
In the adorable videos, she showcased her infant daughter getting accustomed to her costume, the Pottery Barn Kids' Baby Sesame Street Cookie Monster Costume.
The little one wiggled around in the furry onesie on her changing table before being comfortably settled in her stroller for her first trick-or-treat experience.
The TV personality's father and husband admired Athena's costume from a distance, as both were recovering from COVID-19.
Menounos celebrated Athena turning 3 months old in September
The new mother commemorated Athena turning 3 months old in a September Instagram post, revealing the baby's face for the first time.
"3 months old today! Kev and I really want to keep her little face off social BUT no one ever saw her smile because she was too little when we shot the magazine cover," she captioned the post.
"Anyway, while she’s still little I figure I get this one post out as she LIGHTS up our day every day and I hope she can light yours up too! We love her soooooo much we may explode!!!" she added.
On a September episode of 'Heal Squad,' the Maria talked about her decision to share the sweet photo on social media.
"I posted for the first time so that everyone can see her face," Menounos said, noting that she and her husband had previously discussed not sharing her photo.
"That picture that I posted of the three of us happened. I'm like, 'Oh my God, she's owning us.' She's in the middle, with her one hand on your chin and the other one on mine. It just happened and it was perfect," she said.
"In that picture, she's 2½ months. That she's smiling with us, looking up at the camera, it all added up," her husband added.
Nevertheless, Menounos mentioned that she doesn't intend to share images of Athena unless a "life-changing situation" arises, expressing, "I'm really going to try not to, for her sake."
