FORT MYERS, FLORIDA: A disturbing incident was reported by the Lee County Sheriff's Office in the Fort Myers area of South Florida concerning 62-year-old Florida man Timothy Demarse.
The Florida man allegedly held two construction workers at gunpoint on Thursday, September7, due to his concern that they might damage the grass on his lawn.

As per Miami Herald, based on the charging document, a deputy from the Lee County Sheriff's Office was dispatched in response to a disturbance call at Timothy Demarse’s residence in Fort Myers, Florida, at approximately 9 pm.
According to reports from NBC affiliate WBBH, two construction workers were leaving their job when the Florida man emerged from his residence with a gun, threatening to shoot them if they caused any harm to his grass.
A neighbor mentioned to WBBH that they had seen Demarse around his yard but had not interacted with him much, as he appeared to prefer solitude. The neighbor also noted that people in the neighborhood had experienced difficulties, possibly related to construction, and were eager to see their lives return to normal.

The Florida man was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. However, WBBH further reported that the Florida has already posted bail and been released after that.
Following the issuance of a search warrant, a deputy conducted a search of the residence.
During the search of the Florida man's garage, a gun matching the description provided by the victims was discovered.
The firearm in question was a black and silver Smith & Wesson 9 Tactical pistol. It was found to be loaded, with a magazine that held nine rounds of 9mm ammunition, and was located in plain view on a shelf in the garage.
During the course of the incident, a deputy observed the Florida man pacing in his driveway. The homeowner's demeanor was described as "visibly irate," and he was heard using profanities, reflecting his evident agitation.
The Florida man expressed his anger and frustration, exclaiming, "These mother [bleep] better not ruin my [bleeping] grass!"
According to the police report, he continued, warning, "They will see what happens". This outburst of anger was directed at the construction workers who he believed might harm his lawn.
