LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Dixie D’Amelio teases upcoming EP release and evolving musical style.
As fans eagerly dive into the third season of 'The D’Amelio Show' on Hulu, Dixie D’Amelio is not just captivating audiences on-screen but also making waves in the music industry.
Following the release of her debut album, 'a letter to me,' in 2022, Dixie recently shared an update with ABC Audio regarding her musical aspirations. She hinted at the possibility of new music on the horizon and the evolving direction of her creative work.
A Glimpse into Dixie’s songwriting journey
Dixie D’Amelio shared her hopes of releasing an EP in the near future, stating, "Hopefully [I’ll release] an EP soon. I keep saying 'this year,' but I keep writing and liking things more and more, so I don’t know exactly when. But I just want to get things out in a little bit [of a] timely manner, ’cause I would love to be able to tour again."
Her previous foray into the music scene included opening for Big Time Rush on their Forever Tour in 2022.
Regarding the musical direction of her upcoming projects, Dixie assures fans of a diverse and eclectic musical experience.
She revealed, "It’s kind of all over the place. I am writing a lot of fun songs that aren’t, like, straight-down-the-middle pop, but also [are] just something that I would want to listen to. And then kind of deeper emotional things."
Dixie has been collaborating with songwriters and producers in the vibrant music hub of Nashville.
She emphasized the value of these partnerships, saying, “I’ve been going to Nashville to write, so many talented writers and producers [are] there, so being able to be in a room with them, and share a lot of these personal things that have gone on in my life in the past year and put them into a song has been cool."
She candidly admitted, "Honestly, every song is like a mix. I’m like, ‘This could be about, like, 30 different people’ — which makes it even more fun, ’cause it’s like a guessing game."
