VERDIGRIS, OKLAHOMA: The former partner of a mother who allegedly killed her three children before taking her own life has accused her of pre-planning the horrific crime. Billy Jacobson Sr reportedly said that during a supervised visit, Brandy McCaslin requested some more time with her youngest son, Billy, whom she shared with him.
As per reports, on the day of the tragedy, a social worker was trapped inside a garage after being locked in there by the 39-year-old woman as she allegedly went ahead with her evil plan. The unnamed worker had gone to the horror house in Verdigris Thursday night, July 20, to pick up McCaslin’s 11-year-old daughter, Noa. However, she was instead threatened with a gun and held hostage as McCaslin allegedly carried out the murder-suicide.
Did Brandy McCaslin plan triple-murder suicide?
Now, Billy Sr told Daily Mail, “I knew she had problems, and I was so scared something could happen like this. She planned this ahead of time. She asked me a week and a half ago if she could have an extra hour with Billy that day. She was a very controlling person and that combined with her losing her grandparents is what caused this. Her not having control over where her kids went, it would have been a factor. She was trying to push for them to move back in with her.”
The grieving father continued, “Her grandparents would baby her through her whole life, they brought her up, gave her everything she wanted and if she got in trouble they covered for her. All it did was create a monster. I and Noe's dad were fighting for what was safe for the kids. Brandy had a lot of mental issues and threatened to run off with Billy and never let me see him again.”
Expressing his anger toward the authorities, he asserted, “The courts have failed us dramatically. I had emergency custody of Billy, and Noe's dad did the same, but within a month they gave her supervised visitation back when she hadn't done anything.”
‘We are praying for changes to the system’
Billy Sr also stated that despite her trying to claim her life a few months back, Brandy was given unsupervised access to the children weeks before the tragedy. “Her guns, a shotgun, a couple of hunting rifles, and a 40 caliber semi-automatic handgun, were taken away from her after the first suicide attempt. But I think her friend gave them back to her when she was released from supervision for Bryce, and this is what happened. She was a mother and the courts instantly gave her much more consideration. I believe if it had been a man on the other side of the fence, I wouldn't have seen my kids ever again,” he noted.
Billy's father added, “Because she was a mother, they just gave her the kids back, whether it was safe or not. No checks were done to make sure they were safe. She did it to take them away from me and their fathers. That's why she did it. We don't want this to happen to anyone else. We are praying for changes to the system to prevent it from ever happening to another family.”
Paying tribute to the other two children apart from his own, Billy Sr shared, “Bryce was the sweetest, happiest little boy, he always had a smile and a heart of gold – soaked up attention from anyone. Noe was a goofy, funny, sweet cute little kid. She was so timid but she had just started vaulting horses recently, I was so proud of her. She was strong and fearless.”
