MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA: Charlie Puth, a self-declared 'Friends' "superfan," paid tribute to the late actor Matthew Perry during his concert in Melbourne, Australia, on October 29.
Puth played a sentimental piano version of the 'Friends' theme song 'I'll Be There for You' during his performance.
Perry, 54, was found dead in an apparent drowning in his Los Angeles home on October 28, reported Los Angeles Times.
He played the charming and sarcastic Chandler Bing in the 90s hit sitcom 'Friends' which aired on NBC from 1994 to 2004.

The 31-year-old singer was performing at Melbourne's Margaret Court Arena. Just hours after the news of the actor's death broke out, he dedicated the theme song of 'Friends' to Perry.
"I want to dedicate this song to another song, and if it makes you think of a person, that's who it's dedicated to. Does this mean anything to you?" Puth said to the crowd.
The crowd joined Puth, remembering the ever-loved character of Chandler Bing.
The singer then transitioned to his hit song 'See You Again,' a tribute to the late actor Paul Walker.
'Friends' theme song 'I'll Be There For You' was written by David Crane, Marta Kauffman, Michael Skloff, and Allee Willis and was sung by the pop rock duo The Rembrandts.

As the entire crowd sang along with Puth to honor Perry, 'Friends' fans took to social media to praise and thank the singer for creating a moment to celebrate the late actor's most famous work that made him a household name.
