Asmongold: Streamer is open to switching to Kick if he gets a good deal

Popular Twitch streamer Asmongold aka Zack has revealed that he would be open to switching to a different streaming platform if he receives a good deal. The World of Warcraft player made the statement during a recent livestream where he discussed the state of the streaming industry and his own future plans.

Asmongold is one of the most successful Twitch streamers, with over 2 million followers on the platform. He has built his fan base through his entertaining and informative streams about the popular MMORPG World of Warcraft, which he has been playing for over a decade. However, the streamer has expressed concerns about the future of Twitch and the increasing competition from other platforms.

YouTube is losing 'livestream market'

During Patrick CC’s viral video, Asmongold started to discuss switching to broadcasting on other platforms. Asmongold is waiting for a good deal from Twitch competitors.

Meanwhile, Austin Evans, a Texas based personality, said he would never take an exclusive deal. He said, "The main reason why I stream on here (Twitch) is just for YouTube content! I mean, this s**t is going to go on YouTube! So, whether it goes on YouTube from Twitch, or whether it goes on YouTube from Kick or... f**king Rumble, or Odysee, or YouTube, who cares?! It's all the same to me."

According to Asmongold, YouTube is losing livestream market share; he also discussed his potential talents. He cited Patrick CC videos, which distinguished YouTube and Twitch and speculated whether streamers like HasanAbi and Felix xQc should switch to the Google owned platform.

Patrick also added, "If YouTube has their livestreaming page to operate exactly like Twitch or Kick, which wouldn't really be that hard for them, it wouldn't make any sense for small streamers to use Twitch. 1% streamers like Hasan(Abi) and xQc wouldn't immediately jump ship. Or maybe never, because they already have a huge following. At the same time, everybody has a price. Nobody thought Ludwig would switch platforms. But he did. So why hasn't YouTube tried to take over?"

After watching this clip, Asmongold said, "I think YouTube will (take over). I think YouTube will start paying people pretty soon. That's what makes sense. It's a smart thing for them to do. Like, they can't just sit around, and... I feel like YouTube is losing market share right now."

Streamer's views sparks discussion

The streamer's comments have sparked a discussion among his fans and fellow streamers about the state of the streaming industry and the benefits and drawbacks of switching platforms. Some have argued that Twitch's dominance makes it difficult for creators to negotiate favorable deals, while others have pointed out the advantages of staying on a platform where they have already built a large following.

One Reddit user said, "I've seen alot of streamers start mentioning rumble when they talk about streaming platforms, what kind of bags are they offering for them to start even thinkin going on there lmao #BANEVASION7." Another Reddit user wrote, “He's got enough money to live his current life 1000x over whats even the point anymore ? #STOOBOOT4"

One Reddit user reacted, “There's a youtube video about his Kick and Rumble contracts. It was posted by one of the Destiny fan channels. #LITTLENBYBABY" One fan on Reddit said, “Asmongold doesn't even stream that much anymore on his main channel because it is too much pressure, does he understand that these contracts come with concrete times where he has to be online and stream x hours a week / month? But he might do fine because kick will have less viewers and so maybe less pressure ? Hard to tell.#EUGENESTYLE"
