'Female deceased inside the cooler'
According to Capt. Leland Laseter of the New Iberia Police Department, "So it was an employee that discovered the female deceased inside the cooler, (and) the deceased is an employee of the restaurant," as per reports.
Although the death is strange, no foul play has been ascribed, according to early information provided by Captain Laseter, who also suggested that it may have been an accident. Laseter told KADN, that such a situation was "unusual, so we're taking extra precautions during the investigation."
'This does not seem like a homicide, it seems like an accident'
"(We) pretty much have completed our process at the crime scene. After completely processing the crime scene - this does not seem like a homicide, it seems like an accident." Laseter added, "We're going to re-examine all the evidence tomorrow and they're going to conduct an autopsy to give us the cause and manner of death. So there are a few more steps that we need to take before a (final) determination is made." The Arby's entrance was closed by crime scene tape, and a detective in white overalls was stationed outside, as per reports. Cops rushed to the fast food restaurant as they searched for the circumstances behind the shocking finding.
