LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ludwig Ahgren was long regarded as the 'Golden Boy' of Amazon's coveted streaming platform Twitch, until Kai Cenat's unrivaled ascent to the top.
Ahgren was the most subscribed streamer on Twitch up until February 2023, despite choosing to leave the purple platform in November 2021 in favor of YouTube Gaming.
The 27-year-old American video creator extraordinaire has continued to succeed on YouTube, where he currently has more than 5.43 million followers and a staggering total of 1,818,363,268 views, while no longer being the most subscribed streamer on Twitch.
Amid all of this, let's explore his most controversial moments.
1) Botez sisters and their content
Ludwig created his most popular Twitch video on July 15, 2020, while he was ranking content providers during his broadcast. He confronted the Botez sisters during the rankings, criticizing Andrea and Alexandra Botez for what seemed to be a lack of effort in their content creation.
The Botez sisters' programming, which primarily consisted of them commenting on other livestreamers, was slammed by Ahgren.
Ahgren opened a new tab in his browser to view the BotezLive Twitch channel before wrapping up his assessment of the Botez sisters' content. He was shocked to see that Alexandra and Andrea were responding to his feed.
2. Ludwig vs Adin Ross
In July 2022, Ludwig criticized Adin Ross for not responding to the comments made by Andrew Tate on his livestream with Ross.
Ahgren was most obviously offended by Tate's comments against female drivers. Although Ross agreed to most of Tate's contentious views, he did present statistical proof refuting Tate's claim that women were not as good drivers as men.
3. Feud with Logan Paul
Ludwig became one of the several celebrities and content producers who publicly denounced Logan Paul and his Cryptozoo NFT project in December 2022. Prominent internet detective Stephen 'Coffeezilla' covered the situation in great detail in a three-part series, and on December 27, Ludwig gave his thoughts on the situation during his livestream, which unfortunately didn't take a good turn
4. Twitter beef featuring DrDisrespect
The next on our list highlights a very peculiar feud between a few of the most well-liked personalities in the livestreaming community. Ludwig and DrDisrespect got into a Twitter spat on March 28, 2022, when Ludwig made fun of the doctor's most recent NFT effort. Ahgren revealed the details of what truly happened and set off the Twitter altercation during an appearance on the podcast 'The Yard'.
5. Screenbreak Controversy
Finally on this list is the controversy from February 2022 when Ludwig stated that Sephora, the cosmetics company, had found the new 'Rae.' For those who are unaware, Addison Rae, a TikToker who rose to fame on the internet, released Screen Break, a beauty product that promised to shield users from blue light.
Screen Break's launch came close on the heels of a similar product launched by RFLCT skincare company, owned by YouTuber Valkyrae, that had faced backlash and had to be canceled.
In a video titled. 'Unsurprisingly, this Tik Tok Star did something dumb', Ludwig dwelled on Addison's failure to conduct her own due diligence.
